Dedicated to the history, preservation, and upkeep of Alexis race cars.

It all began with Alex Francis building back-garden specials in the early 1950’s to race at local events. A chance partnership with race car designer & mechanic Bill Harris spawned the first Alexis; a nimble front-engined Formula Junior , and an understated yet storied racing legacy was born. The advent of formula ford aligned with an increasingly refined and competetive Alexis, and the company was approached by Jim Russell to market an inexpensive, yet capable kit to a world obsessed with autosport. Many of these cars remain in competition to this day.
